Oldfield put visitors Devizes through the Southern Counties South mill at Shaft Road on Saturday, but still ended up on the wrong end of a narrow defeat. A Lee Sumsion drop goal had the home side just two points adrift with 20 minutes to go in a tight contest after his first-half penalty kept them in the hunt.
Oldfield stepped up the pressure on Devizes in the last quarter of the match, but the Devizes defence held on to a lead established by a try from Taylor and a Webber penalty. |
