Oldfield Skipper Lee Sumsion reckons Oldfield have finally kick- started their Southern Counties South campaign. After losing their first three league matches, the Shaft Road side sealed a 40-11 win over Dorchester.
And Sumison believes they will build on that when they travel to old rivals Devizes. "We're off the bottom of the table and we should be up and running now after a good win to get rid of the early-season nerves," he said. After leading 11-3 at half-time, Oldfield finished with tries from lock Ricky Gibson, No 8 Alex Woods, fly-half Joel Hawkins and a Matt Pearse double. Sumsion kicked three conversions and three penalties and he maintained there is still a lot to come from his side. "We beat Dorchester easily without playing anywhere near as well as we can," he said. |
