South title challengers Oldfield were dominant against bottom-of-the-table Devizes, despite blooding a couple of youngsters due to injuries.

Now in second spot behind Trowbridge, the hosts were in command from the start and produced flashes of brilliant play.

They put Devizes under near constant pressure for most of the 80 minutes in the 52-3 rout. Prop and skipper Shaun Jones was outstanding in the pack, grabbing two tries.

  Ben Hawkins and Craig Lilley also crossed twice, with the other touchdowns scored by Gilan Clark (pictured) and Jack Burns. Freddy Burns ended with three penalties and three conversions. The only consolation for Devizes was a first-half penalty.

Another comfortable win could be on the cards this Saturday when Oldfield travel to second-bottom Dorchester.
