Oldfield 1st XV vs Clevedon in Somerset Cup Semi-Final PDF Print E-mail
Written by Bunti

This Sunday is a historic day as Oldfield travel to neutral Bristol Harlequins ground to face Clevedon in the semi-final of the coveted Somerset Cup.

Lee Sumsions side saw off Yatton in the previous round to become the first Oldfield side in recent memory to make it to the semi-final of the prestigous competition.

It is a great feat for the side to have gone so far, but perhaps even more impressive is the fact that informed observers feel that Oldfield have a genuine chance of progressing to the final - something that no other Oldfield side has ever achieved. With a good blend of established players and a sprinkling of talented youngsters Sumo and his team, plus Coach Ben Staunton would appreciate all of the support that we can give them on Sunday.

The night before maybe late, the morning may be greeted with a terrible hangover, the Bath half marathon may be run that day, but go on make the effort to get along to Brislington and support our team in this showpiece game - you might just witness history being made.

Kick off is at 2-30pm and the match takes place at:

Bristol Harlequins RFC,
Valhalla,Lanesboro,
Broomhill Road
Brislington
Bristol
BS4 5RG
