Oldfield were docked two Southern Counties South points on Saturday when they failed to fulfil their away fixture with Wimborne,
handing the Dorset side a home walkover. The club's website reported 'exceptional circumstances' were behind the club's decision to pull out of the fixture last Friday.
Captain Lee Sumsion confirmed that his side did not have enough front-row cover, with 10 players unavailable for the contest.
Oldfield end their season at home to Frome on Saturday and will be looking to hang on to fifth place in the table.
Frome lie third and will be full of confidence after hammering Sherborne 73-0 while Oldfield were inactive last weekend.
Sumsion said: "We've had a good year and will be positive about the game. Frome are a good side and it should be an interesting one." |
