Oldfield are looking to go one better this season after just missing out on promotion by 1pt in the Southern Counties South league play off.
After 5 years of dedication and commitment successful coaches Andy
Boyce and Paul Cosgrove are standing down this season along with
captain Paul Smith and Chairman Kev Escott.
We are entering a new era with new ideas both on and off the pitch.
Gerry Burns is now at the helm as chairman along with a new management structure.
On the playing side Kevin Moggridge has taken over as head coach and is
already introducing a new outlook to the way Oldfield approach the new
season. Kevin's ideology fits in exactly with the way Oldfield want to
play and their attitude towards junior rugby. Kevin is a community
Rugby Coach within the Sport and Active Leisure Team part of BANES and
works with schools and the Bath Club.
Shane Smart is the youngest Captain in Oldfield's history has taken
over as skipper, he is looking forward to the challenge and relishing
the start of the new season.
Training has commenced and all existing and new players are asked to
support the new regime as training progresses in earnest Tuesdays and
Thursdays (7pm) .
