Last week we were granted permanent planning permission for the slightly relaxed hours we were granted on a trial basis a year, or so ago. We were also granted permanent permission to hold social activities in the outdoor area to the front of the club, within those allowable hours.
This marks a quantum leap for the club and have once again been very lucky to receive overwhelming support from local residents. In addition B&NES Planners supported our application and the Parish Council and Environmental Health both supported an extension of the temporary permission, though in the end it was permanence that we sought, that was granted. This marks the first time that we have our current hours and allowable social activity areas on a permanent (planning permission) basis. We are delighted that this matter has now been resolved once and for all - in many ways this is a tangible recognition of how hard we have worked (as a club) to be a constructive and positive force in the local community.
